RAKEGILL KUNE KUNE PIGS

We are now almost 10 years into Kune Kune ownership, it really doesn't seem that long at all. The pigs have proved to be all they promised and we have sold our piglets to people all over the country, from Kent, to Aberdeen, The Isle of Lewis and two separate batches to Northern Ireland. They really have travelled far and wide, as well as many staying nearer home in Cumbria.

Many people buy the pigs as pets, they have wonderful temperaments and are easy to train. Being much smaller than our Traditional breeds, they can be kept in smaller areas, which suits many hobby owners.
We have also people who buy to start breeding themselves.

Nowadays we are also finding more and more people looking to raise a pig or two for the freezer. Kunes fit the bill well as they don't need vast amounts of expensive feed and size wise don't fill your freezer to bursting point either!

Recently we have been asked about pig arks and have decided to start building them to order, with the choice of buying an ark and a couple of pigs, plus some feed as a "starter pack" at a special discount.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions about the pigs or if you are interesting in buying. We usually have weaners available, and occasionally older pigs too. We also have a Kune Kune boar standing at Stud.

Information about Kune Kune pigs can be found on the Breed Society website - www.britishkunekunepigsociety.co.uk.
